FS Panamerican Cup:

Introduction:

The FS Panamerican Cup is a virtually simulated knock-out cup involving all CONCACAF and CONMEBOL members with the exception of Sint-Maarten.

The tournament is done with a knockout format. There will be 1 match in a neutral venue that will end in extra time and penalties if necessary.

The tournament consists of a preliminary round featuring the 36 lowest ranked Panamerican teams on the FS ranking. The other 14 teams are exempt until round 1.

There is an open random draw, so any team can draw anyone regardless of geographical location, FS ranking, FIFA ranking or political issues. Draws are done using http://www.random.org/

The preliminary round will feature 18 matches, after that round 1 will start with 16 matches and the tournament will then go on until we have a winner.

The Netherlands Antilles are doing great. Aruba was eliminated in the preliminary round, but Curacao and Bonaire have both made it into the second round. Round 4/Semi finals:

Two 1 – 0 upset victories in the semifinals. Jefferson Farfan scored the decisive goal for Peru against Uruguay and Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez scored the decisive goal for Mexico against Brazil. Final:

90 minutes remained goalless in the final so extra time was needed. Luis Arturo Montes scored early on in the 93rd minute giving Mexico the lead. Peru responded late in the 1st half, Andre Carrillo scored in the 105th minute. The match seemed to go to a penalty shoot-out but in the very last 120th minute Carlos Pena scored the decisive 2 – 1 making Mexico the winners of the Panamerican Cup.
